QUEST Science Education Trainings

for the '07-'08 School Year

What is QUEST? QUEST is KQED's largest multi-media science, environment, and nature series to date. It includes a weekly half-hour television program, weekly radio stories, an innovative Web site, and unique resources for educators.  QUEST has partnered with renowned Bay Area organizations to bring audiences closer to our world-class science research centers, museums, and the natural beauty of our open spaces. For additional information on QUEST and our partners visit www.kqed.org/quest.

QUEST Education is offering FREE educator trainings in cooperation with The Bay Institute, California Academy of Sciences, Chabot Space and Science Center, Oakland Zoo, and the Exploratorium Teacher Institute. Scroll down to find a list of QUEST Education's offerings for the '07-'08 school year.

·        Learn how QUEST media segments, combined with hands-on activities from partner organizations, can lead to increased engagement for students with diverse learning needs.

·        Visit a different educational organization at each session.

·        Benefit from trainings offered with a focus on life science and physical/earth science.

·        Discover suggestions for adapting the content and strategies (primarily geared toward the middle-school grades) to upper-elementary and high- school grades.
